Joining the 2026 Malaysia Governance Conference

This post was drafted with AI from my event notes and approved by me.

On Tuesday, 1 December, I’ll be at Nexus in Bangsar South for the 2026 Malaysia Governance Conference, organised by Deloitte Malaysia and ESGright.

This year’s theme is “Rethinking Organisational Resilience Through Transformative Governance”. The conference brings together the people who carry responsibility for how organisations are governed.

I’m privileged to be joining a panel on the transformative role of AI in governance. For many boards, AI has moved quickly from something management talks about to something the board needs to understand and oversee. I hope to share a practical view of what good board-level oversight of AI can look like: asking the right questions, knowing where the risks sit, and making sure AI serves the organisation’s purpose and its people. The National AI Action Plan 2026-2030 (https://ai.gov.my/aiactionplan2030) sets the national direction, and boards have an important part in making it real inside their own organisations.

I’m looking forward to learning from the directors and leaders in the room, who are dealing with these questions every day.
