Dramatic Portraits

Dramatic Portraits - Altin Tafilaj

I am trying to find a niche in my photography. For me, its not a question of taking a nice picture. It’s taking a picture that nobody else would take. Something different. Something unique. I got a chance to exercise some creative license recently and I really pushed the boundaries in that one.

Altin Tafilaj plays the viola and he wanted some portraits he can use for his promotional material. You can check his website here….

Once I got the ‘safe’ images done I started to experiment more and more with the light, trying to create a dramatic mood.

This is the result of one of those experiment. Perhaps not technically perfect (far from it actually) but I think the imagery it created was very powerful. I love the way the light caught the bow and casted a near sharp reflection.
