Daily Log 18 May 2011

I gave a talk to the PJH Shutterbug Society today. Not on running or triathlons or anything like that. I gave a talk on my other passion, photography. Photography was (and I should say now, is) a big part of my life up until a year and a half ago. I suddenly stopped taking pictures.

In my preparation for this talk I had to go through a lot of my pictures so that I can use them as part of the show.

Going through all the images I took sure brought back a lot of memories for me. I’m glad to have done this because I can feel the itch to start taking images again. Maybe it’s time to go for walkabouts again.

Mastery of photography helps a great deal with my triathlon training, believe it or not. It taught me a lot of patience and to persevere. Qualities which are extremely important in this triathlon stuff.

Nothing strenuous today as I prepare myself for the 7km Larian Hari Keputeraan Sultan Azlan Shah 2011. 1 hour of low intensity on the elliptical trainer is about as much as I want to handle today. Do some swimming tomorrow, a bit of biking on friday, a slow jog on saturday as I survey the route and I should be ready for the run on sunday.

Let’s see what happens.
