Kids at The Harvest Center

Imagine being mobbed by a bunch of kids. I went to take pictures of a graduation for children this evening and in my usual nature, I just let it rip. Suddenly I found myself surrounded by kids saying ‘me, me, me’.

These kids are mostly refugee kids who were given education by a group of people calling themselves ‘The Harvest Center’.

An Excerpt from their website,

‘Harvest Centre Bhd. is a non-profit private company limited by guarantee set up to address various issues in the development of urban poor communities such as Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. We have been involved in community work since 1998, bringing medical/health care, home improvement and food provision to underprivileged families. Since 2002, we have been focusing on providing educational programs for urban poor children addressing learning difficulties and challenges they face’.
